    Treatment

Treatment includes controlling infection and ultimately nail removal.

Nail removal is a simple procedure done under local anesthesia to remove diseased nail either full nail or partial nail depending upon the severity. It usually takes around 20-30 minutes. It is usually done in cases of ingrown nail and fungal infection of nail.

Patient can resume his/her work next day with some extra precautions.
