Vitiligo
Vitiligo is an acquired autoimmune disorder of skin and mucous membrane, characterized by white patches surrounded by normal or hyperpigmented skin. It is caused due to deficiency of melanocytes in skin, the pigment producing cell of our body.
Vitiligo is a blessing in disguise. It makes one a better person when he/she accepts their own imperfections and those of others. The goal of treatment is to control disease progression and to improve the appearance of present lesions.
